Former WWE Star Marty Jannetty Subject of Police Investigation

Marty Jannetty WWF Superstar

Marty Jannetty, born in 1960, recently found social media fame via a claim of alleged murder. The news became public earlier this week when Jannetty made a not so cryptic social media post. The post was made available on Janetty’s Facebook account. Considering the situation, Jannetty can potentially face legal action.

Marty Jannetty once on top of the world

At one time, as one half of the tag team The Rockers, Marty Jannetty was on top of the world. Total, Jannetty has amassed a collection of 20 titles runs in his career. That is impressive for any athlete in wrestling. While in the World Wrestling Federation (WWE now) he held the Intercontinental Championship and Tag Team Championship (not with Shawn Michaels, rather with the 1-2-3 Kid, aka X-Pac). The Rockers would not win the gold in the WWE, they did in the AWA (twice) as The Midnight Rockers.

After The Rockers broke up in 1992 Jannetty would see limited success in WWE (his two title reigns). His career has turned more into enhancement talent for larger promotions while the indies book him a to at least be a title contender.

Actions on social media

Marty Jannetty’s Facebook account was where he broke the not so cryptic news. The post has since been removed but Dailymail.co.uk have preserved it.

Marty Jannetty Facebook Post on Murder

The post was originally made available on Facebook early Wednesday, August 5th. It has been since removed. Marty Jannetty, former WWE superstar has also been banned from Facebook for 30 days. This ban came due to the use of a derogatory word for the LGBT community.

Scrolling through Jannetty’s Facebook account will either raise alarm bells or give you a chuckle. All depending on your sense of humor.

Further action required

Ringsidenews.com are reporting a new shoot interview from Boston Wrestling MWF features the former WWE superstar. The site Ringsidenews.com has quotes from the interview where Jannetty allegedly incriminates himself.

Currently it is unclear if Jannetty will face criminal charges. According to Wrestlinginc.com police in Columbus, Georgia are viewing this as a cold case file. They may pursue it, may not.
